Question about Syntax Olevia LT32HV 32 in. HD-Ready LCD Television
I just bought an Olevia 232-S13 32" LCD TV. I hooked it up to my Dish Network DVR, model 522. When I watch live TV, everything is fine. When I pause TV and then resume watching or when I watch a recorded show, the picture is in black & white. I have called both Dish and Olevia Tech Support, but they have not been able to help. Is there a simple fix or should I try to get Olevia to replace the TV?
Cheap parts were used in the construction of the olevia. I replaced 2 capacitors that were bad on the power board and the tv works fine now

The electronics are known to go bad with these TV's, and I'm looking to buy someone's junk TV that has a good screen, rather than have to throw it out.
(So if anyone is out there with a 532-B12 that isn't working, send me a message!)
Yours might be worth fixing - however I know sadly that parts are nearly impossible to get for these TV's, and the manufacturer is virtually impossible to contact.
If you DO manage to contact anyone (manufacturer or otherwise) who can source or supply parts, PLEASE do let me know - it's been nearly impossible for me, and I want to replace my cracked screen in my TV.
If you can't, please let me know - I'll gladly give you a few bucks at least to salvage the screen from your TV, to transplant into mine, rather than turning it into junk on your curb.

Unplug tv install flash drive plug back in. Should start update again. Wait to see if it starts and finishes upgrade and unplug remove flash drive before you turn it on. This is the exact procedure for most major brands I hope it works for yours.

cable or Ant.. ? after the scan if there is no channels found (0 digital, 0 analog) then try with cable or Ant to see if any of them work.. if they still don't pick up any channels and the whole yellow progress line goes across.. then it sounds like the tuner on the tv is bad.. and the tuner is part of the main-board so the whole main-board will have to be exchange or repair.. contact Amergence technology they are a 3rd party repair center that service Olevia TV's and they will be able to give you an idea on the repair cost..
