Re: furnace

What type of thermostat are you using. It may be possible that the heat anticipate is not set correctly.

Does Vulcan Pyrox gas wall furnace have a filter? It seems to cycle on and off too often and the gas seems too high. Also it makes a bang when reigniting. How can I turn the gas down inside it?

get it serviced by a licenced gas fitter / plumber. Should be serviced every two years. Don't risk your life via carbon Monoxide poisoning get a licenced gas fitter /plumber to assess the unit.

Hydra flame r.v. furnace works as it should several cycles then all of a sudden at end of cycle the blower fails too shut off and will not reignite until shut off at thermostat. Is circuit board causi

Not only can the circuit board be faulty but the high limit switch may be the culprit as the furnace may be overheating and the default function is to have the fan run until the temp in the combustion chamber is within normal limits. the fan switch itself needs to be checked for proper cut in and out function. Hope this helps.

Why is water accumulating at the base of a newly installed furnace?

Air contains water molecules. Cold air has a lot more than hot air does. When you heated all that cold air the moisture was squeezed out in much the same way water accumulates on the window glass when hot air interfaces with cold.

Furnace shuts down 60 seconds after startup cycle then repeats

Could be. But you should try changing the lower limit of the bi-metal thermostat switch located in the plenum for the induced (house) air. It could be that the plenum gets cooled off by the fan (too much air). The propane has lower BTU values than the gas the furnace was originally designed for. Because of this, the induced air plenum will warm,, the fan will turn on, but then the plenum goes below the low temp because the gas cannot maintain temp because of lower BTU values (or for some other reason), and the furnace "thinks" that it has done its job heating the house for a cycle. After shutting off, it is then rudely notified by a complaining wall thermostat that some more work must be done pronto. That is why it cycles. Good luck.

I have a newly installed 35k btu natural gas wall

The disc is doing its job, saving your life! If the heat exchanger gets too hot this disc is the safety. Find out how hot the heat exchanger is getting and what the disc is rated for. Check that there is air flowing over the heat exchanger keeping it from over heating. If your vent was installed incorrectly it could be keeping too much heat inside the furnace not allowing it to escape to the outside.

on some new furnaces that is the "heart beat" and means everything is ok. There should be a key on the control or on one of the doors somewhere

Goodman code problem three blinks

Same problem with 1 yr old Goodman. Checked entire exhaust and pressure switch. Inside fan, pressure switch hose clogged with crusty white gunk. Cleaned it & furnace fixed. I have no furnace repair experience, but love to "play MacGyver". Hopefully this could save someone a service call.
