When i go to the hardware drivers there is nothing

I have the Ubuntu installed on the machine , It does show NVIDIA driver installed in the list. I had to install the NVIDIA driver because of the UBUNTU installation didn't show the higher resolutions on my computer. I needed to download the NVIDIA driver installtion file from the internet and that made my computer work for better resolutions as my computer hardware supports.
