Turn on and Power and Lamp Lights blink.

When I turn on the tv it powers on but nothing shows on the screen and after a while the power button blinks red and then also the red lamp light blinks every 5 or so seconds. I checked the bulb and nothing appears to be broken. Any Ideas???

Just because it doesn't look broken doesn't mean it hasn't failed.
Is the TV over 2 years old?
If so, buy just the bulb (not the whole lamp assy) from us at, install it yourself and save about 75% of what Mitsubishi charges.

TV needs lamp replacement as existing lamp got weak or has been reached to end of its working life, please note that lamp is not dead or broken so that is why lamp lit is not lit at tv front.
Hope these info will help you.

The red and blue light on the front keep flashing when we try and turn the TV was working earlier today.

If Power and Lamp lights blinking 'alternately' it shows problem of temperature arise abnormal and reason could be blocked fan or air flow in tv is insufficient to keep it cool.
If Power and Lamp lights blinking simultaneously then it shows problem with lamp installation, need to inspect lamp cover is fixed in its position securely.
Let me know both lights are blinking at same time on your tv?

No power. No lights.

I have the exact same problem.
TV was working fine (if you call having to deal with blinking lights of death and multiple starrt up errors...) - but I powered through it all.
This TV is 6 years old and started acting up after the 4-year extended warranty ran out.
This morning I went to turn it on and nothing.
Hmmm... Got my manual to count the blinking light code...
Whoops. No lights. Nothing. Checked plug. Checked power.
Uninstalled and installed lamp. Checked plug and power again.
Not one stinking light. No power to fan. Nothing.

TV was working earlier, today came home no green power light no nothing

I looked up the manual online - after you replace the bulb, you need to reset the bulb life timer. Using the TV remote push the menu button, SETUP menu, select the lamp reminder option to reset the hours to zero. That might help the status indicators.
