Question about Panasonic Palmcorder PV-DV53 Mini DV Digital Camcorder

Camcorder is not recording

When I had recenetly charged my battery and replaced it in my camera my camera was working properly but the red light for power was blinking. I tried to play or rewind my tape and it did not work but the red light kept flashing. The same goes for recording. Eventually the camera shuts itself off. I thought the battery was not charged properly so I charged it for another day then tried again but still my tape won't do anything. I switched taped thinking it was a tape error but it did the same thing to a new tape as well. I checked the parts inside to see any visible broken pieces that feed the tape but saw no problems. What should I do to fix this? Please help...

The capstan motor of the camera is not running that why the power display is blinking and when you eject the tape there a portion of the ribbon that left..it is a poor connection of the capstan motor to the main board of the camera....

Sylvania HD1Z DV-5000 Camcorder won't power up

Sounds like the battery is faulty, or is not charging properly. Can you remove the battery and try it on another (heavy load) device? At least check with a voltmeter and put a (say) torch/car bulb across the contacts

i think it's the button cell that's CR1616 that's hidden when your battery is in the camcorder. Remove the battery to reveal that little plate to replace your button cell. It functions properly just that time and date might not be recorded.

Have a new Ultra HD Flip Video. How do I know when it is fully charged? Does the red light go off or what?

Hello there,

The Flip Ultra should have a rechargeable AA battery pack.

To verify it is charging, the battery icon will be flashing lightning bolt. The red light goes from red to green the moment it is fully charged. It takes six hours before it gets a full charge via the USB.

Please let me know if this gave you enough information. Thank you for using FixYa.

Flip Ultra HD red light won't turn off after charging. Camera won't do anything at all. What do I do?

UNIT: ultraHD
PROBLEM:
I just had this problem: I turned it on, started to record a video, but it hung up on frame #1, with the record red light stuck on. And I couldn't do any of the following: restart the recording, play already recorded videos, turn it off, connect to PC.
SOLUTION:
I removed the battery for about 30 seconds, then replaced it. my UltraHD flip works great now.
