Help. We have had our tv for about 8 years. We have not turned it off in 3 months, because when we do it will not turn back on for a day, two days or a week, we are never sure and it changes every time. Once it is on it works great. But once we turn it off either using remote or on the set, it will not turn back on until it feels like it. So we just keep trying to turn it on until finally we are lucky and it does. I don't want to buy a new tv yet but don't want to spend alot to fix it either. No-one seems to know anything and it's hard to find a repairman who knows these sets. And I don't want to leave it on forever either.
Any help would be appreciated

Solder connections around the flyback most likely. That is a common fault with the PTK and CTC chassis. Hope this helps.

We have had this tv for like a year almost two years and my mom's aunt and uncle had it before us for a few years .Latley when you turn it off by either the tv or the remote , it Will not turn back on.at one point you had to turn it on by the volume up button ,it was stuck on mute, could not change the channel.ect... so we unplugged it for like a month or two till some one randomly pluged it back in and it worked .... Can anyone tell me how to make the tv stop doing this ?
