Blade is stuck in shaft of kitchen aid

Get some CRC around the shaft and into the beater hole and wriggle it about until it comes free. Rasp the build up in the beater hole out with a round file and clean up the shaft on the mixer. Remember you are cleaning out the hole not trying to make it bigger than it was. In my experience it is a build up of flour in there bonding itself to the hole in the aluminium beater.

Beater is stuck

I had this happen on my Kitchen Aid mixer. There is probably a build up of dough/cake mix etc inside the hole where the beater fits into. Fill a mixing bowl or a jug deep enough to fit over beater with very hot or boiling water. Immerse the stuck beater in the water up to where it connects in to the mixer and hold for about minute. Once the hot water has melted the build up you should be able to remove the beater. Hopefully this may work on your brand of mixer.

Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer won't release beater

I had this same problem as well.  The beater was stuck like glue to the rotating arm, and it would not budge with any amount of pressure.  I tried the cooking spray and it did nothing.  But today I put a rag in hot/boiling water and then carefully wrapped it around the top of the beater.  I let it sit for 10 minutes. Then I put the rag in hot water again and repeated the process for about another 5 minutes.  When this was done, I covered the beater in a towel (to protect it) and forcefully tapped (ok... I pounded) it with the flat side of my meat tenderizer (it was all I could use a mallet or hammer).  It took a little bit of work because I had to hammer it from the bottom, then the side, then the top to get the little spoke guided through the shaft.  But it did finally come off.  After cleaning with hot water, I put the beater on again and noticed that it was still a little hard to get on/off.  So, I put a little bit of veg. oil on it, and it seems to be better.  Going forward, I will be sure to clean the top of the beater & arm after each use and then coat it with a little oil to keep from sticking.  Best of luck!

Kitchen Aid Classic mixer

There are 2 possibilities, the attachments are worn out where they go on the shaft, simply replacing them could fix it, the other is the shaft is worn out inside the planetary ( where it spins), if it moves allot, 1/8 " or more from side to side, the housing is probably worn, and the planetary needs to be replaced, easy job, don't know cost, a new mixer may be in order.
