Re: Connecting to my home wireless

There are lots of variables here - First I would toggle the wireless on/off hotkey on the computer (Fn-F2 I think) - Hit the "Thinkpad" button by he volume buttons above the keyboard to get online help.

If that doesn't do it let us know.

Dell Inspiron 1525 not connecting wirelessly to Sky broadband

If your wireless router is configured with SSID, encryption, MAC address filtering (if enabled) etc. then the Dell wireless card needs to be configured with these settings to allow it to communicate with the wireless router.
Check the settings on your PC's wireless settings, and configure the Dell the same way.

How are you connecting? Thru a wireless router at home?
You may need to upgrade the firmware on the router or just change it to a different channel. You will need to get into the routers control panel to do this.

Wireless connection slow

Same problem. RESOLVED it by going to device manager (hold the Windows Logo key near the space bar and hit PAUSE) Click hardware tab, and then device manager. click the plus next to network adapters to expand it, then right click the atheros wireless connection and go to properties. Click advanced, then find the power save mode. click it, then chose turn off on the right.

did this and my wireless is working normal again. hope this helps.
