Hi lucasthehack,

I would like to help regarding your concern about the Audio issue you are experiencing with your LCD monitor using HDMI.

Since you are using HDMI you really do not need to look for an audio out to get sounds out of your LCD monitor.

- On your screen you will see a speaker Icon wherethe time is, right click on the speaker Icon then select Playback Devices.

- In the Playback Device Window you will see HDMI on the top of the list right click on it and click set as default, this will give you aduio out from the HDMI connection.

Restart you system with the HDMI conencted to the LCD monitor this should make the changes we made work using HDMI video and audio on your LCD monitor.

Thank you for choosing Fixya,

Speaker in the Monitor?

It looks like there are no speakers according to:

You should be able to use any external speakers to your system. The question is looks and power. You will likely have to buy speakers that have power in order to get enough volume.

Most speakers that come with monitors are of very, very low quality. You now have the option of buying good speakers (if you want to pay for them). If you are in a hurry you can likely pick up cheap speakers at the drugstore or Walmart. Another option is headphones.

Good luck finding the right sound.

The question here is confusing as you have mentioned both Monitor issue and the speaker issue.

If its a speaker related issue, well you can get an amp Speaker set from any electronic shop. If you want resolution for a monitor related issue please write back. Good Luck

Monitor Speakers are working however I can not adjust the volume to a level I can hear (I am not deaf) I have gone to the control panel and increase the settings there but still unable to hear ir clearly....

The speakers for the monitor are low rated in terms of required power input. You can open the speaker box and disconnect one from the two wires connecting the speaker and leaving the other one still connected direct to speaker.
provide a resistor from a range of 25000 to 30000kilo ohms and connect the chosen resistor between the wire which was cut on the speaker. this way you will provide what we call attenuation on the path. please check and try this method. thanks for asking fixya.

I just bought an acer x213h monitor, has no speakers which i was aware of.But i did not know there was no audio input for this monitor. Is there a way to fix this problem

Monitors that do not have built-in speakers will not have an audio input.
Just purchase a set of external powered speakers and connect it to the audio output on the computer and place a speaker of each side of the monitor.

If your monitor have inbuilt speaker, then you need not to plug it, because the monitor cable will work for that. I have ViewSonic 19" with inbuilt speaker and its working without any extra cable or connection.

No Sound on Envision H22W Monitor

The Envision H22W has speaker grilles, but does not include speakers. Note there is no input connector for audio.

The Envision G22LWK does have built in speakers. I think they just used the same mount/frame for both models, but only the G model actually includes the speakers.

Note that the web specs and the manual for the H22W says nothing about speakers.

No doubt this is why the H22W costs appreciably less than the G model.
