You would normally connect a Blu-ray player to the TV using an HDMI cable. A digital optical audio cable connects the Blu-ray player to the home theater system.

Do you need a new pairing of surround. select the pairing menu at the home, turn on the surround and press the button that is below the s-air cartridge. A red light will light the rear surround and make a new pairing.

Hey your receiver is now not available and has been super ceded by model DAV-DZ777, only difference is a couple of little things like digital out (both coax and fiberoptic) but other then that the info is the same.
