Re: Locked Out Of My Computer

I keep getting a HOME-XB2X7J77GN error. What does that mean?

I cannot find my disk for a re-install so I'm at a loss.

I've tried the manufacturers backdoor passwords for BIOS.

I'm on Windows XP.

I can try getting to the DOS prompt...

Re: Locked Out Of My Computer

I doubt it...
have you tried by getting into safe mode and modify the passwords? this only works when the administrators password is known or is none..
otherwise i suggest you to download and use ophcrack..
you have to burn it into a cd and let it boot there.. havent tried it.. but ive heard lots of comments that it basicallly does everything for you once it has booted from the ophcrack cd.
here is the link of ophcrack

I bought a desktop computer from auction and it is been locked by admin password and i could not load softwares to my computer.

Enter: windows nt offline password editor
Download this software.
Burn it to a CD-R.
Restart the "locked" computer, forcing it to boot from the CD-R, not the 'C:' drive.
Reset the password for the 'Administrator' account to a "blank" value.
Remove the CD-R.
Restart the computer, and boot from the 'C:' drive.
Login as 'Administrator', and change the password.

When i am signing in it displays "YOUR ACCOUNT HAS BEEN LOCKED"

You will need to login as an administrator or a different account that has admin rights.

Once logged in, you need to go to the control panel> Administrative Tools> Computer Management (If XP)

OR Start, type in Computer Management in the Search Window (if Vista/ Windows 7)

Once in Computer Management, expand System Tools> Local Users and Groups> Click on Users

On the right hand side, double click on the user account that is locked and untick the box that says Account is Locked

Hope that answers your query, Pls rate this answer

Computer locked on WELCOME

try to reformat your computer with the istallation disk and operating system disk.
reload everything by installing a clean copy of your OS.
if the problem still persists , iam afraid it might be a bad hard disk integrety and your hard drive will need to be replaced before you can reformat your pc

My pc wont hdd recovery.....plz help

If your hdd recovery won't work it may be that you don't have a recovery partition. If it is a new computer it should have one. If not you might have to order your recovery disks from the computer manufacturer for about 25 dollars. go to their website to order, hp, dell, sony, etc...

The other option would be to reformat the hdd and reinstall the operating system and programs from scratch. The operating system cd should be bootable and allow for that provided that you setup your computer to boot from the cd in the setup screen.

How can I recover my windows password?

You should probably move the hard drive to another computer to be safe and download the saved files you need. That may be hard to do as sometimes windows will lock you out of the Documents and Settings Directory. You can use Vista though to take ownership of those directories and get your saved information.

I do notice that a lot of people that password their computers are a little sloppy when installing windows though. They kind of skip over the initial user login and password for Admin. Try logging is as Admin and use nothing for the password and see if you can log into the computer. A lot of people just hit enter when they see this screen which makes Admin and user with a blank password.
