I have the same problem - TV is about 18 months old. The warrentee service is sending me a replacement lamp. Does that make sense?

I spoke with Samsung - they said this is a minor and easy to fix problem caused by a "blocked or collapsed channel" - whatever that is. They also recommended that if I have any warantee coverage (I do) that I not attempt this repair myself and that a technician be called in. That's my plan. I hope this helps.

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Picture is too big for screen

You will have a button on the _original_ remote that says Format, Aspect Ratio, Zoom, Size or just AR. It will cycle through Normal, Stretch, Partial Zoom, Zoom, Gray Bar, or the like. You are not in Normal but in one of the Zooms. Stretch is used to make 4x3 movies fill a 16x9 screen, may not be desirable. Zoom is used to fill the 16x9 screen with movies that have been letter boxed. Gray Bar fills the sides of a 4x3 picture on a 16x9 set with gray to "avoid" burn in. Use normal except zoom on LB. -Ken

My son's PSP has devleoped a green line of pixels at the very left side of the screen. I do not think it is very noticable but it is really bugging him. Any suggestions Thanks Tom

It sounds like the screen is either damaged or is going bad. If you go to you can find a repair center. Not sure on cost but if need be when replacing it purchase it from a place the will offer and extended warrenty(Best Buy, Circuit City).
We had bought a DS for my son and @ 19 months his screen was going dark and they replaced it with a new one.
