When my daughter turns on her computer all she gets is a statement "PC entering power save mode". She is unable to access any menu or commands to check for errors. She has disconnected and reconnected all cables etc. She turned the system off and on in various sequences and still nothing.
I am having the same problem . The system is starting up and th epc entering power save mode. I have a Hp pavilion f1503 model monitor. I hit the power off button on the power surge to shut the entire power off. I turn the power surge button back on. Sometimes it works. Or have to hit the power on button to reboot.

I am not sure this machine has an automatic Scan to PC option. Brother seems to like to avoid this part of most machines. Depending on your Operation System you will still be able to access the scanning system. The operation system would define which method it uses. Win XP you can access the scanner through the Printers and Faxes option on the start menu. Go to printers and faxes and then from there access scanners on the sidebar. Find your machine and open the inbuilt scanner software to scan your photos and save them to your computer. Then e-mail the saved files.
