I have an old (over 15 years) Zenith TV that I don't really want to get rid of. It is a console model in a very nice wooden 'case' on a swivel base. It's a very lovely piece of furniture. The TV has seen better days. In the past year or so, it has been having red 'ghosts' and when I shut it off, there are two 'rainbow's that linger afterwards. Didn't time them, but they are there for a while. Is there any possible way to repair it these days? Your suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.

HOW FAR CAN THE PEDESTAL STAND 'SWIVEL'? I CAN GET ABOUT 15 DEGREES EITHER WAY - IS THIS THE LIMIT OR CAN I ADJUST TO INCREASEDEGREE OF 'SWIVEL'?

I believe this is the limit, physically altering the engineered base for this television may put it in danger of falling or breaking. It's a 40 inch LED TV and really not that heavy, perhaps you could look for a lazy Suzann type of base that you could put beneath the TV to give you more extreme swivel capability.

I have an old model zenith space command tv and don't have the remote for it, also I need to change the imput to allow my dvd player to work

This is a wireless remote, models like that are no longer manufactured from at least 15 years now - the only way to find a replacement one is in flea markets or shops that deal in old equipment.
The input can be selected thru the menu with the buttons on the case, but since you haven't told us the exact model of your tv i can't give you the exact procedure.

I HAVE A 15 YEAR OLD ZENITH 27 INCH TELEVISION (MODEL- SE 2719P). THE ONLY WAY TO TURN IT ON IS WITH THE REMOTE. AFTER THE POWER WENT OUT FOR 20 SECONDS, I TRIED TO TURN THE TV BACK ON & NOTHING...

Yes it is definitely time for a new tv. If you live near a populated area just go on your local craigslist and you can get great used televisions for quite cheap. I have seen nice 36" tv's sell for 50$ and less.
Thank you and good luck,

I have a 15 year old Zenith console, SL2737RK, lost vertical defl

You need to resolder the vertical IC and replace any electrolytic caps in the same immediate area. If you can find someone with electronics experience they know what I'm saying....It can be repaired.

Zenith 27" TV

I sorry to say I think you have a component failing that is related to heat. 15 years is a long time and if the TV was used in hpot conditions over the years it may well be the proble, or it's just old.
