Camera shows low battery light then overexposed photo

The camera first showed a low battery in the view screen, then it turned all the way white when I clicked to take the photo. After that I charged the battery. Now every photo comes out overexposed, super bright and with strange whitish circles or ovals all over the screen. it comes out this way even when it is down loaded. the camera is nearly two years old, can it be fixed or does it need to be replaced?
