Aspire 4520 DVD combo problem

When I try a dvd or cd in the drive it tries to run then stops. Have tried Windows media and other programs to run, but I get a message no drive installed. Checked device manager and shows dvd drive. can you help me please.

Try to clean your combo head with spirit using cotton...thats all..
