Poor quality copies from the Canon NP 7130F

I have a dark gray streak down the center of the copy page. I have cleaned the roller, the glass, and the ADF per the operators manual. Still have the streak. What should I do next?

Streaks on copies

Run the printers maintenance software and run the align print head option and the run the clean print head option and check again and see if the streaking is still occurring.

Black streaks on the copies in the same place every time.

Does it happen when placed on the glass and also through the document feeder? (for optical check)
Inspect the heat rollers to see if they are cut?
Inspect the drum or (photoconductor) for lines.
Optical problems are normally just a cleaning. The other two require parts.

Bad copies on our Canon ir2200

Most likely the fixing film needs to be replaced. A few years ago Canon made the fixing films available to authorized dealers. The film itself should only cost a few dollars. The other thing might be the Drum unit itself. They are not so cheap.Independent dealers and service agents are generally cheaper than say, Ikon or Danka

Gray background, but copied text is visible

With toner being dropped I would take a close look at the cleaning unit next to the drum. Sometimes they become clogged or wear out. Inside the machine, can you see toner that has spilled or piled up? If so that is an indication of a faulty cleaning unit.

First of all did you clean the optic? How about did you replace all of the corona wires? Also, did you clean the scanning lamp as well? Also when you had fitted the new drum, did you use a brand new one or a different one, did you clean the drum with rubbing alc. If all that was done, do a "AE" adjustment in service mode using white paper on the copy board glass. Also, go to the addictional funcation mode and go to expossure adjustment and make it lighter. Or as a last effort adjust the corona hieghts of the primary corona wires. Good Luck...
