Monitor looks as if there is no CPU

I am using LG 700E CRT monitor. Green light is blinking as an indication of power supply before I switch my CPU. But after CPU is switched on, it is still blinking (as if CPU is shutted down). I can see that my mouse and keyboard are getting power supply. What can I do? Any help is accepted
Thanks in advance...

If the light is blinking then the monitor is getting power. Make sure the vga plug on the monitor is securely connected to the PC. If you have more than one vga connection i.e. one on-board and another card, try moving the plug to the other vga connection. Ian.

As long as you suspect the computer is booting properly, I suggest you borrow a monitor from a friend to confirm your monitor is not working properly.

Please post back if you would like further assistance.

If the power supply is coming to CPU before activation of CPU then it must be receiving current from UPS. Don't try unplugging, You may get shock. Thank you, Sir.

My LG 700E monitors indicator light is blinking for long

Hello,

It sounds like you have a monitor with a common problem. After a few years some LCD monitors will blow a power supply. The problem is caused by parts called capacitors overheating in the confined space of he monitor. When the capacitors blow out they also damage the driver MOSFETs. If you aregood at electronics repair/soldering you can usually fix he problem. Check out a few pictures on my web site www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm You can take the back cover off your monitor and look for the bad parts, replace any that look like the pictures and your monitor should work fine. The capacitors do need to beinstalled with the correct + and - connections, note the stripe on theold one and insert the new one the same way. If you don't want to trythe repair yourself we offer a repair servicefor $35 plus shipping.

I hope this helps, if so please rate my solution.
