Start by checking your screen card....that it is fully in..if that doesnt work follow these steps....
remove motherboard power lead, remove ram, disconnect cpu, remove watch battery,be sure to remove ac....give it 10 minutes re-insert all parts and put on your pc....

it sounds bogus bt you would not believe how often it works.

goodluck.

Motherboard problem

When you clear the BIOS (CMOS reset) you have to set the date and drive priority for boot. You need to enter the BIOS (settings menu) to do this.

PC show the message and hang and black screen .

You are going to have to start with basic troubleshooting first.

TAKE notes as to where cables were etc. (digital camera would be useful here)

Disconnect all devices from the power supply EXCEPT the motherboard
Remove any extra cards including video etc.(plug monitor into the on-board)
Disconnect all drives

Power u the computer and make sure you can at least get into the BIOS.

If you hear any beeps these can indicate where the fault is.

Power up the PC and see if the fans are working.
If not then double check the power connections to the board.

If you still have no fans it is time to suspect the power supply as the probable cause.

If the fans worked then you should have gotten a display which told you there was an error and offering you a chance to go into the BIOS. ignore it and shut down the PC.

Now connect one drive only and boot again.
Repeat that until you identify the component that is giving you a problem.

Once you find the problem then remove or disconnect and carry on with the rest to see if another component might also cause a problem

If there is only one problem device then you may want to investigate that device further, Unless you don't mind replacing it

If its not the PSU and your fans are working it may suggest a problem with either the motherboard or CPU

Working SG-72 MOBOs failing 1 by 1, no POST after BSOD, just fans

test the cpus in other machines. if your not getting any boot or beeps, then it is the bios or cpu.

Black screen

Ensure that the power button is pressed and the monitor is plugged in correctly. If ok, then the installation was stopped while installing your video drivers. If possible use another monitor to re-load the xp operating system until completed. Once the video monitor drivers are loaded the monitor will work again. Let me know if you have any questions.

MicroATX motherboard work but the monitor shows a black screen.

I assume the monitor is turned on? Try the monitor with a known good computer to verify it's OK. I believe this board has AGP video. Verify that it's properly seated, or try another board.
