Are most car radio/cd players the same size, so will fit in the space provided in the dash? Car is in another state, so cannot measure for this gift.
    thanks, annarch

Yes you can install it, you can buy adapters that will hook up to the player and plug directly into your cars wiring harness, they come with instructions and the wires, you can purchase these at wal mart, or most any car audio store.

most honda;s use a standard size stereo the only time they dont is if the factory installed a equualizer then it will be larger but if you stop at wal mart and look at the in dash kits if they dont have one for your make of honda then all you will need is the wire install kit. which isnt very expensive. but as long as its a standard size stereo it should fit without the dash kit. you can find these items by the car stereos in wal mart. they are usually hanging up. if you have trouble ask an emplyee.

I have power to the radio, cd, and tape player but the display light indicating what station i have on the radio will not light up therefore i do not what station i am listening to. Would you please tell...

If it is a detachable face radio, you can try cleaning the contacts between the headunit and the face. IF this does not fix the problem, you will need to purchase another face for the unit or have it serviced. Hope this helped.

Code for radio/cd honda civic 2003

Try to locate the unique code number that will unlock the theft-protected audio system on your 2003 Honda Civic. It probably was imprinted on an anti-theft identification card that you should have received when you acquired the car. The code was printed on a document that came with your owner's manual packet

If you do not have the code, you will need to track down the audio system's serial number. In the case of the 2003 Honda Civic, finding the serial number may require seeking assistance from a Honda dealer. The dealer should be able to determine the audio system's special code number so you can reset the radio. With some newer Honda Civic models, the serial number can be retrieved electronically from the radio.

If you are able to locate the serial number of your 2003 Honda Civic's audio system without a dealer's assistance, you can obtain the special code by going online to the Honda Web site. You must first provide specific information to prove you own the car. For instance, you will need the Civic's vehicle identification number, or VIN, and the audio system's serial number.

When you know what the audio system's special code number is, use the preset buttons on the car radio to punch in the digits. This should reset the audio system, enabling you to resume using the radio and the CD player.

New Radio too powerful for 15 Watt speakers?

Hello mike_mccuske,

The OEM speakers will still work OK with your new Pioneer. Just don't turn it up too loud. Of course you'll get improved sound if you replace the speakers. Your Pioneer's RMS power is 14 watts, and the peak (maximum) power is 50 watts. The door speakers in a 2000 Honda Civic are 6.5" and you can get a set of Pioneer speakers, the TS-G1642R's, from Crutchfield for less than $50. Their RMS power range is 2-30 watts and they can handle a peak power of up to 180 watts.

Hope this helps.

Removal from dash of a 1989 dodge colt

Unsnap the trim ring and you will see a slot in the center of each side. Insert a pair of Pioneer radio removal keys which any Car Audio shop should have lying around and will probably give you for free.
