Question about Samsung PCN5425R 54" Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

No picture, no sound?!?!

No picture. I hit the power button and nothing. I can hear clicking sound, and every few seconds (like 30) it goes "beep beep beep". No sound at all out of the speakers, just the beeping from some where on the boards in the back. The red light on the power switch is the only thing you can see blinking.

Re: No picture, no sound?!?!

This could be a number of things. Your lamp could be bad or it needs to be reseated to the ballast. The lamp is trying to light and it will make the ballast flicker (that is the clicking sound) or your ballast is bad and it needs replaced (it will flicker and click too). Or your color wheel is broken and it will make a clicking sound when turning. If the color wheel is not spinning or broken it will not light the lamp. No lamp no picture.

TV will not turn on

There are a few reasons that this could be happening first one is maybe the lamp died on you, Afraid there is no way to test this other than replacing the lamp. The second problem may be 5 capacitors on the power supply that hold the 12 volt line low and do not allow the light engine to start properly.
First thing you have to do is listen to how it trys to start, It should sound like this, first when you hit the power switch there may be a click then within five seconds the fans then a few seconds more you may here a sparking noise, if all this is happening then you most likely just have a bad lamp

I have the same problem. The only way to get the TV to come on is to unplug it, but once you get it back on it turns itself off again in a few minutes.

Won't turn on

The clicking you here is the mosfet trying to turn on power on the the oscillator then power to the tranformer. The thing with red wire come from the top to a anode splitter. The question is where the power stops. You know it is going to the mosefets but is the trasformer powering the tubs. Email me for anymore questions

Hitachi 46ex3bc

I have the same problem with mine. i,m pretty sure that it is the built in surge protector is bad. Try unplugging the tv for 30 seconds then plug it back in and turn it on. If your surge protector has not completely gone bad this might work a few times. mine won't turn on at all anymore.
