I guess your problem your system maybe not allowing active x components to your system. uninstall first your internet browser(IE, Mozilla, etc.) then reboot. and then install internet browser. and then explore the internet. when explorer asking to allow activex and install just click yes or either u can see a yellow above just right click and install. If this not work, go to and then download the "Microsoft windows script" u can find it by searching the site. after downloading install and restart the system. and again do this; when explorer asking to allow activex and install just click yes or either u can see a yellow above just right click and install.
hope this can solve the problem.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Getting back my bt,email account.failing that deleting it

You're asking in the Yahoo mail category. Are you unable to access Yahoo mail or BT mail?
If it's BT mail, and you've switched from BT, you're likely out of luck as you would no longer have authorization to access their servers, as those would be restricted to BT servers. This is why independent email services (such as Hotmail, Gmail and Yahoo mail) are nice - they're not tied to any one internet company and can follow you no matter how many times you switch.

I cannot send or receive e-mails on my bt yahoo account. This only happened yesterday

BT have now transferred emails from what used to be known as BTYahoo and is now known as BTMail. If you go to the log in page here:
Email Login Page
then you can enter your email address and underneath the password box is a link "Forgotten password". If you click on this (the word "password"), you will be taken to a page to enter your username (email address). Clicking continue will put a green tick against the email address and you will then be taken to a page where you can choose how to receive a password reset email (probably not a good idea unless you have a second email address that is not a BT one) or a password reset text message to a mobile phone.
If you no longer have access to any email or appropriate phone then I am afraid you will have to brave the BT phone system so that they can reset your password !!
Hope this is helpful, if so would you please register that with Fixya

scam e-mail to get all of your information when you click on the link
probably too late but simply delete the e-mail
be prepared for a load of junk mail, virus ,malware and the like
upgrade your security protection program run a full scan on the computer to check for embedded problems

Ask BT, by logging in to your BT account.
They gave you a BT account and can provide an email address.
If you don't want e-mail with BT, you could open a free account on Gmail, Yahoo, Microsoft and lots of other providers.
Just goto or and click on new account. Fill in the boxes and see if the name you choose is free.

Btinternet. now want to charge for my emails

In case your bt yahoo account is tide up to their corporate e-mail good chance that they might hold it. Your best option is to export all the mails that you need to keep and your address book.

Open a g-mail if you don't have one, they have a good size for FREE.

Once you sign up, forward all the mails and all your contacts to that new e-mail account.

Make sure you read their TOS (Terms of Service) to make sure that they can't hold anything against you.

Hope this helps,

Sending email

here are the settings for btinternet, if you use "outlook" you must manually configure them!

  • The POP3 server (incoming mail) is
  • The SMTP server (outgoing mail) is also
  • Both need your BT Yahoo! email address and password; you will have to tell your e-mail program that the SMTP server requires authentication.
  • The SMTP server can use either port 25 or port 587.
The most common fault is to provide your ADSL username and password when your BT Yahoo! username and password is what's required.

good luck and regards
