Try other sim cards in the phone to be sure the problem is not from the sim. When you are sure the problem is not from the sim, try to reset the phones's factory settings. this is because the strength of the signal coming inside your house is less so the mobile is not picking up the signal.this is because of the walls and bulkheads surrounding the room which reduces the strength of the signal

What 'bout other phones ? There could be a Tower faillure near your area. Please check out whether other phones work not. Otherwise there might be a network faillure in your cell phone or you might need to replace your antena. If possible open up your mobile carefully and refix everything, it should work.
