Re: Loss of picture when watching HDTV

The cable that you are using isn't able to send enough of the signal to the projector, so its over compensating by puting in its own data, every now and then it needs to clear itself, Try using a better cable, I use Monster HDMI 400. Cost's a lot but picture has never been better.

I get a loud static noise, when I first turn on the yamaha ysp-1. Lasts a few seconds. Have unplugged all inputs. Problem persists.

u have a cool sound projector but u have a baaaad power supply system. bad power supply design - u will get all sorts of noise when u power it up. i have a sub woofer with the same problem(which in my case is the way it is designed). i used a delay circuit. but in ur case i know YSP-1 has a clean start up. so, if the warranty still covers it get it replaced. static noises, pop noises are often caused by bad capacitors.

Best hook- up Polk psw10 sub woofer to yamaha rx-v663 receiver

You will not need to y connect your subwoofer, if you have only one RCA sub out on your receiver the other end of the RCA connector cable goes into the left input on most powered subs, there is no loss of signal, the option exist as some receiver do sport a double RCA sub out.

Connecting bose 321 system to lg hd flat screen, bose receiver plays fm am ok threw will not play threw bose speakers.bose dvd plays sound ,but no picture

You will need a Component Video Cable
Connect the Red Green and Blue Connections from the TV to the Bose.

if your audio is coming from the TV, also connect stereo audio from the TV's audio out to the "TV" input on the bose.

if you want to hook up other devices (VCR, BluRay, etc) the video will go directly to the TV and audio will go directly to the Bose

No DVD picture while playing Panasonic SC-HT920

You should connect your Video cable from DVD to TV's Yellow pin. Then you must first select whether its AV1 or AV2 from remote control. Then you'r done!
