Question about Frigidaire PLEB27T9DC Electric Double Oven

GLEB27T8ABA Frigedare Double wall oven electric

One day the bottom oven was working and it stopped. Pushing the touch pad controls for the bottom oven does nothing. The element checks good. It is almost as if a breaker was tripped just for the bottom oven.

Top ovens works fine, heat, and the pad controls works.

Our bottom oven won't work. The oven quit while using it. The touch pad controls don't "click" or respond in any way. Where is the fuse/breaker for the bottom oven? We've had a repairman here twice and hasn't fixed it yet. He is still trouble shooting, also in touch with the manufacturer.

my G.E. oven will not work. both the top and bottom elements will not work. I replaced the fuse behind the key pad. still doesn't work.

Previously only the bottom over would heat, then both stopped working. Replaced control board, the glass touch controller and LCD display, check reset button behind grill, now only the top oven will work.

F8 error and bottom door locked

Here is Frigidaire's suggestion to your problem:

Oven Control Beeps

and Displays an "F"

Error Code

Electronic control has detected a fault condition. Push CANCEL pad to clear the display

and stop the display from beeping. Reprogram the oven. If a fault reoccurs, record the fault
number, push the CANCEL pad and contact an authorized servicer.

Our monogram double wall oven has a f7 code on the control panel. None of the buttons appear to be working, except clear, which clears the code. Then still no buttons work, and the f7 code comes back. What...

It's most likely that the error code you are seeing is F1, not F7. F1 is a code for 'stuck touch pad'. You will need to replace the clock/ERC or the touch pad (or both).

No response to touch pad. No display or lighting. Check breaker and replaced circuit breaker.

Inside the control panel is a bullet fuse. This thing melts when temp inside control exceeds safe levels to keep from harming electronics.

My oven keeps beeping and flashing an f-7.....what can i do to stop it?

Turn off house breaker to the unit at the breaker box of your home. This will be a double breaker.

F7 Touch pad or Control board...... Most techs start with touch pad.

I have a Kenmore Double Oven that's eiving a Code 7 and beeping

Hello, this code is the result of a failed function key on the key pad, or control board. Some control boards will have the touch pad, or key pad combined with the actual control board, as one whole unit. If this is the case, simply have the main control board replaced. Now, if the touch/key pad is separate from the main control board, this will require you to gain access to the control board and key pad, and preform this test below to isolate the failed component.

1. Pushing CLEAR/OFF pad.

2. Disconnecting Ribbon Cable from control and waiting at least 32 seconds to see if Code recurs

If code recurs, problem is in the control. Replace control.

If code does not recur, problem is with the Key Panel.

Thanks

F1 error code and constant beeping and oven shuts off.

Hi gwhiz03,

If you are having error code F1 with your Jenn-Air double wall oven this is because you have a defective touch pad or clock (ERC). This simple test will help determine whether the ERC (Electronic Range Control or Clock) or the touch pad is defective when F1 error code is present.

Note: Some models incorporate the touch pad in to the ERC as a single assembly, in which case this test is not necessary. Simply replace the ERC (Clock).

Warning: If you feel in any way uncomfortable performing this test or making this repair, please contact a qualified appliance repair technician.

1. Disconnect power to the range (unplug the range power cord or turn the power off to the range at the circuit breaker). It is very important that the power to the range has been disconnected, so please double check before continuing.
2. Gain access inside the control panel.
3. Disconnect the touch pad (also called keypad or membrane switch) ribbon from the ERC.
4. Make sure there are no lose wires, or anything else that may cause a short when power is turned back on. Assemble the control panel back the way it was.
5. Turn the power back on.
6. Wait for at least one hour to see if the F1 code comes back (usually accompanied by a beeping sound).
7. If F1 comes back, replace the ERC. If it does not, replace the touch pad.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.
