I have an LG front load washer. At first it wasn’t spinning at all so I replaced the door lock mechanism. While it now does spin it doesn’t spin fast and the clothes are still soaked. I tried the diagnostics test and am getting a bE error code. Trying to figure out how to resolve this issue. Can you pls advise? Thanks in advance.

I have read that if the pump is not draining the tub completely, there is an interlock that prevents the high speed spin from engagin. I have had debris caught in my pump several times (kids!!) with similar issues. There is a trap on the line leading from the tub to the pump which is "supposed" to capture debris, but it doesn't work all that well. Check your pump.....

The heavy jacket prevented the washer from spinning at a rapid pace, so I added a heavy bathrobe to absorb some of the water and to balance the load. The washer then spun very quickly and drained out all the water.

It's a bad wax motor inside the door latch. The diagnostics are buggy and do not test it properly. It should measure about 1.5K ohms, and when 120 VAC is applied to it, it should extend in about a minute. Part number 12002535 is $10 to $15.

Hi. You have done a great job diagnosing your unit. This unit is designed to not allow a full scaled spin out, if there are issues with the on-board door lock mechanism. This is standard safety equipment for most units. Once this damaged door lock mechanism is replaced, the washer will operate properly. The full scaled spin out will return.

i fixed mine about 5 times and its always some thing diffrent.
try buyng the inexpencive parts first and leave for last the electronic control panel.
it could be that your washing a smaller amount than the recomended.
Take it to a profesional. dont do like me a DIY guy. Some times i need to take pictures when taking the monster appart and then because they are somany screws missing duct tape, rope or hangerwire becomes usefull.
All mechanics are wise guys you and me are thevictims.
