-   my player wont turn on, the computer recognizes it briefly, tries to repair and then it says it failed to install the firmware. If when plugging in the player to the computer you reset it and then hold the volume up button you might get some results from the computer. Also, push the usb cable in slightly and i got the player to run a test. Apparently my player has a TMPT 2 that failed, whatever that means, and everything else is fine. The tech support knew nothing about the test that the player performed and told me to get a new one. -   lsparky3

-   I also had the same problem, my pc is detecting it as mass storage devide, i can see songs frm pc but the player is not turning on, Stuck in Philips GO GEAR!!!!!!!!!
is there any way to upgrade firmware or software? coz there is no technical support available in my city....
