Well first of all you check both of the memory for pics, camera memory and the card (data card) memory.
If the pics are not on both of the memory locations it means the pics are corrupted from the memory location, If you need the pics then you can try to recover them using some recovery software (you also need a computer to recover these files). There are many chances, that the card of your camera is corrupted. so, if this error comes again you try replacing the memory card.
