Question about Symantec Client Security 3.0 with Groupware Protection Business Pack

Incoing and Outgoing Blocked Emails

I recently renewed a license for Symantec Client Security 3.1 w/Groupware Protection for Business Pack 10 user Basic. It is installed on Windows Server 2003.

We are getting complaints from customers that emails are bouncing back and other we have sent them are not arriving. Others arrive without attachments, etc.

Thus, some incoming, some outgoing emails and attachments are not getting through and others are.

Is it possible that the license renewal was not installed properly; or the engine and filters are having some sort of conflict?

It may be certain ISP's that this occurs like Comcast and maybe yahoo. But can't determine consistency as yet.

    Have you checked the log of your e-mail server? What information is contained in the log?

    I may be able to ascertain what may be causing it from the info in the log.

I had a confirmation email dated 11th January 2008 for my renewal of Norton Security and it was debited to my Visa account. I am still being told that my Norton Security has expired and the computer is at risk.

How to enable Symantec auto protect

There are couple of ways to enable Symantec auto protect.
Step 1: Right Click on the little shield like Icon on system tray (Right next to date and time). Left click once on enable Auto Protect.
Step 2: Click on Start and then all Programs. Look for Symantec Client Security and then Symantec antivirus. Click on the Configure Tab and click on file system auto protect. Check the Option Enable Auto Protect and then Click on OK.

Is the version you are installing compatible to Win 7? For some security programs in Vista or Win 7, you have to install these programs as "Administrator".

I renewed my subscription on 3/19/10 Confirmation # 784856239 for 1 yr starting 3/26/10 for a total of 57.98 Wich you debited for bank for. But my computor shows I have not protection. What is the problem?...

Is it still installed, have you opened up Norton to see if you have re-enabled protection. Check your emails as they might have sent you a registration key. My advise would be to contact them via telephone as emails usually take a while to get response

Cant renew my security software

Look for a program called "Setup.exe" and double click it to stat it. That should lead to installing your symantec software.

it is not possible to install on the 64 bit..

Antivirus failure

If you installed any program during this period or did any changes to the windows files, you might have caused a conflict that corrupted the anti virus files. Try uninstalling the antivirus and any recent installations and reinstalling the antivirus. Then update through the net update. Good luck.
