My Nokia E62 locks up. It typically happens when I put someone on speaker phone and try to disconnect from the call. The screen freezes and I can't even power the phone off. To resolve the problem, I have to remove the battery to be able to use the phone. Why does this happen and how do I keep this from happening?
The solution for this issue is fix when a reinstall of the firmware phone is made. Some times, it works making a format of the Mini SD memory. That occurs for problems between the O.S of the phone for managin the less space for free data. For some reason the phone locked when is usign a call on loudspeaker. The only way to prevent this issue is removing unused data of the phone, and of the SD card.
My E62 just locked up one day and I tried to restart it by taking the battery out and now I get the nokia notation then the second nokia notation and finally the blank screen. The backlight still works. Please help me.

HI is your Nokia E62 mobile is asking for a network lock code once you insert your sim in it then it mean your phone is locked to some other network provider due to this it wont accept any other GSM sim until you unlock it ...You can easily unlock your phone using sites like TheUnlockArena.com here they are rendering network unlock code for all mobile models at reliable cost .You first check that whether the code is available for your country and network provider .IF yes then pay for it and unlock your phone then freely use it with any GSM sim ..
While the phone is Off, press and hold down * 3 and Green (Call) buttons and press the power button to turn on the Phone. Hold down the three keys until you see the screen prompts you to confirm about the formatting. The onscreen instructions will help you format your phone. Please note that you'll loose everything saved on your phone including messages and contacts. It's recommended to remove the sim card and memory card (if any) before you perform this. This might not be successful during the first attempt, most people need to perform this several times.
If there's problem try with the code. While the phone is On, type in *#7730# on the main home screen as you type in numbers before dialing a number. If you are asked to put the security code, enter 12345. Or if you've ever changed the security code, please use the code you've had changed. Your phone will restart to take format the memory.

There are a couple of options for unlocking your phone. It's technically owned by you and you have a right to obtain the unlock code directly from the carrier, AT&T. However, they will put you through the ringer (no pun intended) to get it from them. If you're up for a battle, call them and ask for it. They will tell you it's not possible, but you can contact the VP Complain Specialist Office at 800-498-1912. You can avoid all of the hassle and order it through this company, http://unlocktelecom.co.uk/ - they charge about $20 and it's an easy work around to avoiding the hassle. Good luck.
