Question about Maytag Neptune MAH5500B Front Load Washer
I just installed a Waxmotor Kit in our MAH3000AWW without success. Installed the Waxmotor and the Q6Transistor. The R-11 Resistor was not cooked it was exact same resistance value as replacement resistor. Here's the scenario: Our Neptune will start when set to a normal cycle and begins filling and about 30 seconds or so later it quits and the on light goes out. If you move the Timer to Spin and push start the light comes on and the door lock light and locks. The water begins pumping out. It seems to run the pump until all water is out then the machine stops and lights go out. It does this on all cycles and at all settings. Will not spin when timer moved to spin cycle. Do I need to replace the MCU or ???? I believe the Timer is fine. I am capable or troubleshooting.....just not sure where to go next. Thanks, GARY
You probably need the motor conversion kit 12002039. This Neptune motor / motor control board has a high failure rate. To determine this you need to remove the front cover and inspect the motor control board near the floor on right side for burnt components or a blown 10 amp fuse. If you have burnt components or a blown fuse then your motor control board has failed and needs to be replaced. See www.neptunewaxmotor.com for Neptune disassembly pictures and to order the 12002039 motor conversion kit.
