The RAM module/s may be faulty or just need reseating. Reseat the RAM module/s and see if the laptop boots normally, if not remove the RAM module/s and take them to your friendly computer repair shop and get them to test the RAM for you.
something is definitely faulty.. could be damage on the motherboard.. may be water.. first have it opened and checked then try to power it in adapter minus battery.
Remove the battery, and unplug it from the wall. Leave it for 30 seconds and then try turning it on with just the power plugged in. So without the battery. Best of luck, Ravi Shanghavi, Ottawa
restart the system and continue to press F2 ,so tht u can enter into the BIOS settings, change the boot option to cd/dvd...if still the problem persists clean your dvd case once or continue with another cd/dvd...
Take out the hard drive and see if the laptop still shuts down. If it doesn't then your hard drive might be the issue. You can also try reseating your memory.
