Question about Harman Kardon Harmon Kardon SoundStick II Speaker System Computer Speakers
Hi The jack on the end of the cable between my Harman Kardon soundsticks base unit and the back of my imacG5 broke off inside the back of the computer. I finally managed to remove the broken piece with the help of superglue and the computer works fine with other speakers. Sadly I have no jack on the end of my speaker cable though, so can't connect them. Is it possible just to splice a new cable (with a jack attached obviously) onto the cut end of the existing cable. Replacing the whole cable looks like it would be a v fiddly job, removing most of the insides of the base speaker unit. My email is joshellwood@hotmail.com. I will be so grateful for any advice.
If you know how to solder you can just remove the jack and replace it with another one, of course you can ask someone else to do it at a nearby electronics store
