Question about Kyocera Mita KM-3035 All-In-One Laser Printer
Our Kyocera KM 3035 copier produces very light copies, much lighter than the originals. We first tried changing the default setting on the auto exposure from 0 to +1, then +2, then to +3 with no noticeable improvement in copy darkness. At +3 the background (white area) of the document was a bit more grey than at the 0 setting. We then tried setting the default setting to -1, then -2, then -3 again with no noticeable change in copy lightness. On the advice of our copier leasing company, we replaced the drum and the fuser roller, but that had no noticeable improvement - the copies are still extremely light. Your advice is much appreciated.
Have you considered changing or checking the toner cartridge?
Does it display a low toner light?
I had a similar problem with a copy machine, where ALL the settings were correct and the toner was light.
The problem was the toner cartridge, the toner was caking because of the temperature. All it took was a good shake at the toner cartridge and it worked.
Also, check to see if the scan bed is messy, a good cleaning the the scanner bed should work as well.
Hope That helps!
