F25216bc RCA 25 inch TV. Color is distorted with a heavy red tint

You either have a bad CRT or a Shorted Red Output IC/Transistor. One other possibility is if
someone turned the Screen Control down if it is accessible from the back of the set.
Hope this helps,

Pictures goes to distorded wavy lines.

This could be attributed to tuning reception of your tv. If your using antenna only, it is most probable. If cable, check your line.

If this is a crt type, moving that tv with that size could somehow bend its circuit board. Loose connection is a probability. Could be some minor component is detached from solder. This can be attributed to tuner and vertical IC.

Just for an input.

The picture is green

your picture tube is wearing out . there is a way around it it will work for a while .you need to lower the drive for the green . on the board on the neck of the picture tube there are three adjustments marked red , blue, green on the front of the tv turn down the color all the way down . normally you would have a black in white picture but now you have a green and white find the screw adjustment marked green and carefully turn it down untill the picture is black in white and your fixed . adjust color back up .... dont do this repair unless you are confortable working around high voltages a wrong move inside a tv can kill you , this adjusment must be made with power on so you can see the picture as your going ... so this may not be for you . use your own judgement ........Please if this answer helped , please rate this 3 or 4 stars . and keep me in the paid answer department . A 1 or 2 may knock me down into the unpaid ranks. Thanks Cactus Bob .

Goodmans tv/video/dvd all in one

Perfect picture on TV, DVD and VCR, but no color means you have selected the wrong color system.Since you are in the UK, make sure that the VCR Color system is also set to PAL. Perhaps it is wrongly set to SECAM?

TV Problem

No. Are the lines white or black? Does the picture look distorted at the top? Is there a chance it is still under warranty? It sounds like a problem in the vertical retrace circuit. Probably a capacitor near an IC that's used for timing. You shouldn't be having this issue already. A tech should be able to see a distorted waveform in the vertical section. Hope this helps.

Distorted Pic

On these sets its the coolent in the tubes thats comtaminated, the picture tubes are soft and are bad, or theres a screen voltage capacitor thats bad in the scan power supply. If the tubes are going bad, a shop with a crt rejuvinator MAY be able to clean the tubes and bring a little more life to them, BUT if not, theres not much you can do as a consumer, as there are no user serviceable parts inside these sets, as all the parts are soldered into place and a TV set is no where to be expeimenting with. Sorry man if the sets over 8 to 10 years old ,its most likly time to put this one out to rest and get a new one. Good luck
