Problem for Dell Latitude D620 (D620SINGLE) PC Notebook
My laptop screen goes black after being idle and
My laptop screen goes black after being idle and will not come back on. The computer is still alive and responds to commands, but the screen will not come back on. If I hit the function key on the laptop, it will enter Standby and then I can hit the power button to wake it up and all is good again.
Can't be a hardware problem because the screen looks fine as long as I am using it. What could be causing this??

- I have already done that. The machine never goes to sleep. As it turns out, I think there was an issue with the LogMeIn installation on the machine. I uninstalled and reinstalled with the latest version and have not had the problem since.Solution #1

Hi,
You need to change the power settings and disable the machine from going to sleep and when the hard drives and display powers down.
To change the settings go to the control panel and select power options, in power options you can stop the computer from sleeping and set the display and hard drive to never power down, save the changes and exit. You should not have this problem anymore.
