My fridge dial 0 to 6. turning the dial clockwise

my fridge dial 0 to 6. turning the dial clockwise goes from 0 to 6. Is 1 or 2 colder or warmer than 5or 6 ? the Manual says turn clockwise to cold ? As the colder we go the temp must be in a minus, Is for example mark 6 on a fridge dial minus 30degrees and mark 1 something like minus 5 degrees. Or is it the other way around ?

The higher the number (0-6) the colder the box. Hope this helps
