Re: LAN card driver built-in to the motherboard
Its better to open your system and look for the model number of the mother board. Its easy to find driver even in google if we know the model of the stuff. and better to know whose the maker of computer example. compaq presario come HP, asus, dell.

hi! I think u need to install drivers in your PCI internet/LAN Card or built-in LAN
Please check the brand of Motherboard if it is built-in or the PCI Card Brand. and browse it in the net with another PC with the NET connection, to the manufacturer websites. and search it with corresponding model of the motherboard or the PCI Card. and download the Driver's and save to USB
and paste it to ur PC and install it.

After reinstalling your xp, the next thing to do is install the drivers of your motherboard. the drivers include lan card and sound card drivers. The lan card needs to work so you can explore the internet.. while the sound card needs to work so there will be sounds on your speaker.
If you don't have the drivers,, I can help you get one just tell me the model of your motherboard. and or sound card and lan card..

Can't WinXP find appropriate driver for your lan card? If Asus did not provide a driver for its built-in lan, i think windows XP already has the driver built in its cache. try to install it using the wiz.
