No sound and no internet connection after clean and reinstall xp pro.

After reinstalling your xp, the next thing to do is install the drivers of your motherboard. the drivers include lan card and sound card drivers. The lan card needs to work so you can explore the internet.. while the sound card needs to work so there will be sounds on your speaker.

If you don't have the drivers,, I can help you get one just tell me the model of your motherboard. and or sound card and lan card..

Hope this help.
Much appreciated if you could rate this help. thanks

Just bought a new motherboard and i cant get the ethernet card to enable. The computer knows its there and lists it in the device manager with a yellow caution sign on it. The motherboard is a goal3+...

Let me guess... Tiger Direct special hehe
follow that link and click on down arrow next to USA in the SiS 190/191 onboard LAN driver section. Now just downloading them doesnt install the drivers. The download is actually a zip file that will need to be extracted. Once you extract the files goto the folder and look for an exe file to run. If there is no exe you will have to manually update the driver through the device manager.
It's probably a good idea to install all the drivers on that page for your system for optimal performance.
You can do it!

Network Connections are Gone!

I would check in device manager (control panel) and see if the network card is listed. It probably has a yellow exclamation point next to it.
If there is an exclamation point there, then right click the card and click uninstall.
Next, using your wifi to access the internet, download the latest network card driver from the PC vendor website / Motherboard vendor site / discrete network card site.
Install the network card driver and you should be back in business.

No internet connection

Internet Conn?...did you check the plug from your modem to built LAN card in your PC?...if its done...did you install the LAN driver to your PC...(LAN driver is in the MOTHERBOARD DRIVER)...if you do that also, why dont you check the double monitor, its located in the lower right side, beside the digital clock..right click, and go to open network connections...You will see a dialog box, and right click the Lan Area Connections, and double click, see the dialog box again? will see the two title bar, in the upper left side..there's a General and also see the blue title, one is Connectivity and other one is Activity..check your status in your connection, is it connected or not?..if not..go to the SUPPORT,(upper left side) will see a connections status , click repair it..
then after that..
restart your computer...
see ya..
