Machine recently descaled and parts cleaned. Did not solve problem.

A bit of water squirts out sides of head, thought not screwed on tight enough.
Could the rubber ring sealer thing need replacing ? Machine approx 2 years
    old.

have the same problem, water just goes into the overflow tray and doesnt go through coffee-had it into the shop twice, both times they replaced the flow valve and still does same thing. anyone know how to fix??

I had the same problem, no water out of the head and all water was going to the drip tray. I descaled it and everything was fine. This "clog" happened only after 3 weeks from purchase ... will have to check my bottled water quality!

I bought some citric acid at the supermarket and mixed up 2L of warm water with 3 tablespoons of citric acid. Then I ran the hot water function for approx 1/2 liter then ran it through the head for another 1/2L although it continued to leak out to the drip tray.

I reapeaded the above (1/2L through the hot water and the last 1/2L througth head). This time the water came through the head as it is supposed to.

I flushed it clean with 4L of fresh water through the head and hot water, now I am back in business.

Hope this helps others facing the same problem.

I had the same problem - all water going down into the tray at the bottom - virtually none through the coffer basket. I couldn't find citric acid at the store to descale so I used white vinegar instead. I 3/4 filled the reservoir with warm water, and added about 1/2-2/3 cup of vinegar. I first ran water through the 'hot water' button (it comes out the steam spout). Then I ran the entire reservoir through the machine using the 2-cups option. It started running right away. I rinsed out the reservoir with fresh water, then ran a whole reservoir of fresh water through the machine to get rid of the vinegar smell. The first cup of espresso after this treatment was as good as ever. Phew! I thought we were up for a new machine!

Sounds like milk steam apparatus is clogged. Try to disassemble this portion and clean thoroughly. Descaling will not help this section.

Does the pump work? The steam and hot water are from the boiler pressure, but the coffee water circuit is separate and needs the pump.

Saeco Odea Go - Hot water leaks from bottom of machine

That's leaking from the hoses coming out from the boiler,if the machine is new it should be still under warranty, may have to take it back to the service center. When making coffee the lines are under pressure and the water never have a chance to pass through the ground coffee.

'Chugging' noise when trying to get flow of water from steam tube

You must press the hot water/steam button to make sure it is set on hot water. The chugging noise is the pump slowly putting water through the steam boiler for steaming. When you open the steam knob make sure it is all the way open, you will hear the microswitch click when you reach full open(test it out with the machine off). Red light also means heating and low on water, since you are using all the steam faster than it can make it hence the red light.

Water coming out of steam nozzle not coffee output when making coffee

Sounds to me there might be a blockage on the brew unit, and since the pressure is so high it is going through the bypass. Clean the screen and tubes on the brew unit.

No hot water or steam

Well, I have little exposure to Saeco, but a lot to commercial coffee machines.
Saeco have a lot of custom made components, although these can be purchased, nothing is cheap! Neither is their repair service!
First, is the boiler heating?? If so:
No hot water/ no steam suggests a blockage. Assuming you can hear the pump working when attempting to do a coffee, you will probably find the water flowing back into the water tank via the relief valve. Of course, this valve itself could be the problem, or the pump failing to work through a blocked inlet filter or other problem.
Look now at the group head. Ever cleaned it? The filter and spray block should be removable, do so and clean them carefully. While you have them out, see whether water reaches the head by "making a coffee" into a cup placed under the head. BE CAREFUL OF SCALDING. If water now flows, cleaning the screen and spray block should restore operation.
Beyond that, it's inside the machine! There is a 3- way valve that operates when making a coffee. This can become clogged with coffee. There is another valve to open the steam.
If, like Saecos I have worked on, the boiler does both the hot water and the steam one at a time, look for problems BEFORE the boiler.
Hoe this helps a little....
