Question about Brother MultiFunction Center MFC-440CN All-In-One InkJet Printer
My printer said my cyan ink levels were low when I hadn't printed more than 3 full colour pictures. Now, it says that the cyan cartridge is not there.
This is desi35 i finally found a simple solution to that problem. each ink cartridge has optical window where the sensor sees the ink level. what you simply do is put a small peice of paper in front of the little window so the sensor thiks u have a full cartrigde. so this solves this problem and saves your life when you essay is due in the morning and all you wnat to do is print in black. later

You have to replace the cyan cart with a new one. error should disappear.
Even though you didnt use cyan the machine needs some ink to keep the noozles wet. Therefore machine does some automatic cleaning cycles which consumes some ink.
BTW: did you program the date/hour settings? Do so and do NOT disconnect machine from constant power, because data will be deleted. machine will do its cleaning cycles about every 2 weeks. otherwise it will do the cleaning everytime its powered up!
