No indication of power to the unit.

No indication of power to the unit.
I opened the unit and removed the cable connecting
the main board to the LCD controller board. I disconnected it from the LCD controller board side.
When power is applied, now the power LED comes on.
So apparently there is a component on the LCD controller board bringing down the unit?
I'm going to start testing the endless number of small components on the LCD controller board.
I have a few of these units that have the same no power indication condition.
Has anyone experienced this with the LCD controller board on this unit or a similar Acer LCD monitor?
