There is a black sensor that detects when the door is closed, and an actuator that the sensor either sees or doesn't see. If this sensor is dirty, it might not be seeing the actuator. It could also be broken or knocked out of place.
When the door closes, it strikes a switch which will "open" the circuit and terminate the light. Try opening the door, locate the light switch and press it in with your finger. Does the light turn off? No? More than likely, it is a faulty switch (constantly closed) which doesn't open and break the circuit (voltage constantly flows to lamp).
Should the light go out when you press the switch, you may have a door alignment issue and can adjust accordingly with specific screws (or retighten existing screws)
Possible that one of the door switch is faulty and so is open. You will need to check one by one , the switches, to confirm this as the open switch determines the light to be ON and makes you think that all the door swithces are faulty.
The cause of the problem is either a blown thermal fuse, a faulty belt switch (loose or worn out belt), a faulty door switch, or a faulty machine control board. Activate the "Diagnostic Test Mode" to determine which you should check first to avoid unnecessary disassembly of the machine.
Diagnostic Test Mode Activation Procedure
Unplug the machine for fifteen minutes.
Make sure the machine stays in standby mode when it is plugged back. That is, no indicator light is on.
Press the following button sequence within five seconds: More time>Less time>More time>Less time
All of the indicators on the console should light on and "88" is displayed on the Estimated Time Remaining display panel. It means no fault is detected and the belt switch is faulty or the belt is worn. Replace whichever is necessary to be replaced.
If E1 or E2 flashes on the display, the thermistor has failed and the thermal fuse is open. Replace both.
If E3 flashes on the display, there is a fault in the machine control board. Check the board for loose connections or replace it.
Open and close the door. There should be a "beep" everytime the door is closed and opened and "OE" is displayed whenever the door is opened. The door switch is faulty if no "beep" is heard or if "OE" is displayed even when the door is closed. Check the wiring harness connection or replace the door switch assembly.
Please inform me about the result of the test to give you the exact repair/replacement procedure.
