A continuous flashing red light with the word LAMP on it would definitely mean you're going to need to spend a few bucks on a new lamp....or for a few more, upgrade to a TV from this century that doesn't require lamp changes :)
make sure lamp cover (first plastic cover that was removed from tv cabinet to replace lamp) is fixed back properly because 3 times red light flashing indicates that lamp cover is not in its place. Thanks.
Check Lamp Fan if it stops running when Lamp trys to Light ,Then Lamp will not Power up,or Ballast Board itis what powers Lamp on.

please check how many times the red light flashes. If it is 3 times this means that the lamp cover is not fastened securely.
If the red light flashes 5 times this means that the lamp driver is defect.
