Re: filter light on have cleaned filter/condencer

First check the vent pipe for being bent or the flap outside for being stuck ?

Gas lg steam dryer DLGX7188RM cleaned filter , vent tubing, unplugged, still check filter light flashing , hit power goes straight to cool down .

the check filter light is just a reminder. it is not connected to a sensor. goes out when you start the next cycle so your issue is not connected to that.

The clean filter light was flashing but it stopped after I cleaned the vent but still won't heat, Is there another vent/filter in this dryer?

the blinking filter light is just a reminder, not connected to anything. goes out when you start cycle. however, if the dryer overheated then it may have blown the thermistor fuse. check out or for how to videos and parts.

Is there a heating over load cut out switch on the tumble dryer to be reset as it will not heat , I have cleaned filters and condencer

there is a thermostat (about the size of a quarter) located by the heating element that could cause this. It controls the heating element.

Lg dryer dle7177 cutting off during cycle

I had a tumble dryer that stopped working and after much investigation it turned out to be an internal thermostatic switch and lots of fluff around the internal filters. ( Mine had 2 of them 1 would cut the heat and kick back in when the temperature dropped and the other one would completely cut all power rendering the drier non usable until cicuit breaker thermostat was replaced. The reason they cut out is to prevent overheating and possible fire. When the thermostat gets to certain temperature it breaks the circuit. Apparently you shouldn't stop the drier until it has completely cooled down as there will be too much heat which could cause a fire, which is why most drier cycles have 10 minutes of cool/ non heated air at the end. So in conclusion I would take all the filters out and give them a good clean and try to avoid opening the door while there is still a lot of heat in the drier. I'm not sure if this will help but its a starting point.

Cooling light stays on during dry cycle. no heat is to dry clothes. I've switched the circut breaker numerous times and unplugged the unit many times also to "reset" . What's next..

Try a timed dry cycle instead of an automatic cycle. If that works, then you will need to clean off the moisture detection bars inside the dryer to get the auto cycle to work again. Look for two curved metal bars, about 3/16 inch wide and 4 inches long, about an inch apart, located just inside the front of the dryer, near the right side of the lint filter. (you'll have to stick your head in the dryer drum to see them) Often times, use of dryer sheets will result in a waxy coating forming on these bars, preventing the dryer from detecting the moisture in the clothes. The dryer sees no moisture, it goes into the cool down mode and then stops. Clean the bars off, and you should be back in the laundry business.

Same problem. Just bought it used, all vents are clean

If it shows cooling, it sounds like the sensor bars need to be cleaned off. They are two silver strips about 5 inches long just on the drum side of the lint filter. When dryer softener sheets are used, the bars get coated with a waxy substance, and then they do not detect the moisture in the clothes, so they think the clothes are dry, and proceed to the cool down cycle. You should be able to do a timed dry cycle just as it is, but will need to clean off the bars to get all the auto dry cycles to work. NOTE: If timed dry does not heat, post a comment for additional items to check.
