Question about Computers & Internet
The hard drive crashed and it was replaced , so now my problem is that the hard drive is not detected it is not listed in bios . i want to have the option of booting from cdrom but after post the gives an NTDETECT error and the laptop restarts
The message "NTDETECT error" and "...not detected/not listed in BIOs..." indicates that you have a similar problem with the new hard drive. Your best option would be to seek replacement since the new should still be under warranty.
In some instances, it could just be some corrupt files which would require re-install of your Operating System. Other extreme cases would require a check likewise of your PC's memory.
Hope that this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things worked out or should you need additional information.
good luck and kind regards.
