Question about JVC AV-32260 32" TV
Pwr/timer lamp lights for about 5 secnds, then flashes. Never comes on with picture or sound.
From what you're describing it could be one of several things so this thread may take a bit as you check some things and report back... In doing so, don't rate this till we've had a chance to look at a few things then you can call me a idiot with a poor rating...
First off lets change a couple of simple caps. C931 is 100uf/160v and is a common failure in these units. Also C933 which is a 1000uf/16v in fairly close proximity to each other. This cap also, by itself, can cause this symptom.
Try these and let me know what the result is.. I am assuming of course that you know what a cap is, how to solder and some of the basics to do this repair for yourself, correct?
