Re: will not load toolbox when clicking service tab
It's suggested to un-install the software & reinstall. Follow these instructions. Some files are corrupt & need to be re-installed.
Disconnect the USB cable from the printer only. Insert the printer CD. When prompted, click Remove and wait for the software to un-install. Click, Finish to complete the un-install process. Click, Yes when prompted to restart Windows. Windows needs to be restarted for the changes to take effect.
Wait for system to fully finish loading.
Do not plug in the USB cable until instructed to do so.
Load the HP printer CD. Follow CD's instruction for install.
When completed re-start the system even if the software
has not instructed you to.
Check if the service tab function?

Enter the selected pattern's number in the Column A box.
Similarly, enter the selected numbers in the boxes for column B to F.
Try doing an alignment with the printheads. You can also try changing the inks,if that solves the problem eventhough old inks are stil not empty,contacts might be the issue on old inks which causes error blinking lights which is an indication of printhead rejection.

Load the page print side down on the right front corner of the glass, and then press the button next to OK to scan the page. When the On button stops flashing, the alignment is complete and the page can be removed. Recycle or discard the page.
