Have you checked the Transmission? it is either at the other end of the belt, or what the belt attaches to, and connected to the motor, it may spin freely by hand, but if wornout inside will not turn anything, if you can set the machine to spin and look under where belt is at the same time, (without getting hurt) do so, and see what isn't turning....... that will tell you a lot right there....

took the belt off the shaft moves nice...theres a big round spoke like wheel on the back of the drum that the belt went around it moves if you force it ...

Samsung front load washer WF317 wont spin

Could be drive belt has broken but not if drum turns when washing, if it turns when washing your belt is fine so it could be that your motor brushes are getting to the point of needing replacement.

Neff washing machine not spinning. Fine yesterday, slightly funny noise and now drum not moving on wash or spin! Any clues?

Could be worn Carbon brushes on the motor.Check belt has not fallen off though...some Neff you need to buy half motor to fit new brushes as it comes this way, perhaps a good test is to blow ut any dust next to the brushes this may allow the motor to Briefy run long enough to tell if brushes are worn ..Half motor cost to buy - 60 GBP......Happy new year...

Bosh classicxx drum wont spin . any ideas

Maybe. Remove belt, unscrew 2 bolts that hold the motor, unplug the motor connector, lever the motor back with a screwdriver. Check the motor brushes, if they are any shorter than 1 cm replace brushes.

Creda eco washing machine won't spin

It sounds like it needs new carbons fitting in the motor.
It is a fairly straightforward repair.
Remove the top cover, screws at rear, and slide top cover off towards the rear.
The motor is located at the top right right rear, you will see the drive belt.
Slacken the bolt that holds the motor, and push the motor down towards the top of the drum.
You will see the 2 brush holders, they will be either black or white, pull the wires off the holder terminals, and depress the plastic`lug that holds the brushes in place, slide the brushes out of the motor.
fit new genuine Hotpoint carbons, and follow instructions on packaging. Push the leads back on to the carbon terminals.
Tighten up motor, and make sure the belt is reasonably tight.
Job done.
Test on final spin before you refit top cover.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

Washing machine won't spin or agitate

Hi.

Sounds to me that you have a faulty motor from the symptons.

Does it work without the belt on?

Hoover Vision 1600 drum not spinning?

Have the same problem, different model and it looks like I am outside 5 years spare parts. Probably just a belt or something from overloading. Also looks like it would nearly be cheaper to buy a new machine. You must have checked your pump???? What a rip off
