Phone to sim contacts on Samsung SGH-D807

OK my screen broke and I can only see a little bit of the top-right corner, just enough to see the battery meter.

I want to move each contact from my phone to my SIM. Could anyone be so kind and write button by button steps to transfer each one?

Thank you!

The D807 doesn't have the option to copy all contacts to the SIM from the phone by using key presses on the phone, only to the phone from the SIM. Best solution, if you still have the CD and USB cable that came with the phone, is to use the software option. The management software allows you to manually move all those contacts to the SIM, or to your computer, which is a better idea because the SIM doesn't store the data in the same way so some is lost. For example, the phone stores a name as two separate parts, first and last, but the SIM only has a single data entry for the name so you lose the last name from each of your contacts if you directly pass the data to the SIM.

The Slow way...
1) Go to Contact List (my shortcut is the down arrow)
2) Select a contact and press OK
3) Press down arrow once to highlight phone number
4) Press left "..." button for Options
5) Press 3 for Copy
6) Press 2 for SIM
7) Press left "..." button to Save

I hope this helps...

Police siren type icon on phone. What is it? It sems to knock out the contacts in my phonebook and i cannot send messages while this is on

Hi the blue icon in top left hand corner is telling you their is a problem with the sim card, take the back of the phone and slide the sim card in a bit further, once you have slid it in a little bit more you should have no more problems, the sim card can move slightly so pushing it in further can and should solve the problem.

let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

Transfer phone number on to my sims card

There are 2 ways of doing this: menu>phonebook>contact list>click on a name>select(click on ok)>options>copy>ok>simok>save You need to do this for each contact. OR you can do this via blouetooth to a pc-not sure about mac: contact list>options>send via>ok>select>all bluetooth>all phone contacts>selectclick on the device linked by bluetooth-it could be a pc or another phone. My phone is samsung and is similare but not the same model so there may be differences but the above should basically guide you to the right areas on your phone.

Need master password for my samsung sgh-c425

I found this off another site. I have tested this withy my D807 and it works.
1. If you have changed your phone password, change your password back to the default 8 zeros (00000000).
1a. NOTE (Modification here by my experience): Goto SETTINGS, SECURITY, then SIM LOCK and disable this before proceeding.
2. Put a SIM card that is from a network other than the one your phone is locked to (I used a TMOBILE card from my buddy Darin)
3. When Incorrect SIM (I got invalid card and there was a sim card graphic spinning) error comes up, type *#9998*3323#.
4. White screen will appear with an exit option. Press the right softkey. (I ended up pushing the down key to get a menu)
5. From the menu that appears, select the Malloc Fail option. This will reboot the phone and the normal service screens will appear.
6. Type *0141# and then press the green call key. "Personalization" or "Personalized" will appear.
7. Turn off your phone and put the original SIM back in.
8. Turn on your phone. You will receive a prompt to enter a password.
9. Type 8 zeros (00000000) (This is because the SIM LOCK Mentioned earlier gets switched back on)
10. Completed. You have now unlocked your phone.

Easy as pie. Now you have an UNLOCKED Samsung D807 =) worked on my brand new 2 day old Samsung D807 phone.

Oh also guys I called Cingular (on hold for 1 hour with these losers) and they told me there is no way to SAVE phonebook contacts from the phone to your sim card. Now this really pisses me off. So I did some searching and found out that with the studio software from samsung you are able to edit and move contacts from your phone to the sim and back. Or copy from the phone and put them on the sim card. Just thought you all should know as there is no menu option on the phone.
