It is a good idea to describe brand and model when querying. An iPhone does not store data on a SIM, rather it stores it only on the phone. An GSM Android phone stores contacts and carrier information on a SIM card. If you swap an Android sim card between two unlocked Android phones, you swap phone numbers! Now, if you want to put the data from one sim card on a new one, you can do that with a computer which you have added a card reader to.. However, your carrier (such as Vodaphone in Australia or Verison in the USA) likely would transfer that information to a new card for you if you go to their brick and mortor store.) Some non-GSM SIM card are "locked" to the particular device and you could not swap them between phone simply by inserting them in the other phone. You haven't indicated why you want to replace the SIM card and the answer to that would determine the direction of any further elaboration. You've not really provided enough information about your phone, such as carrier, brand, and model and reason for replacement for me to advise you. But you can try googling "that set of facts and "sim replacement" and you might pop up your answer if you don't want to go to the phone store.

How do i get the sim lock off my samsung gt-s5230

Contact your ASP (administrator service provider) like VODAFONE as you will not be able to use this sim card at any other phone except your password Or you can put your password (any Digits) more than 10 times then sim card will be purged finally you can make sim swap and it will work normally

Simcard ragistration fail

If your phone shows sim card registration failed, there seem to be a problem.
The problem can either be from the sim cared or from the phone.
If it is from the sim card, then it means the sim card is damaged and need to be replaced, you can get the same number back by getting a sim swap or replacement.

If it is the phone, then you have to ensure the sim carrier in the phone is intact and is making proper contact with the sim card.

Try to insert the same sim in another phone, and if it does the same, then it means the sim card is damaged and needs replacement. If it works then you need to have the phone fixed.

To fix the phone, have a repairman resolder the sim card carrier.

Take care

I need to copy my contact from SIM to phone, so that I can move them to new phone.

OK, you need to keep in mind that if all your contacts in on your Sim card, you can move you contacts to your new phone by only swapping out your Sim card. This will be much easier. Let me know if you understand, or if you need any further assistance.

Kind regards

How can I transfer my contacts from N97 to Omnia II

One simple soution (though it abridges the full contact data) to move contacts from one phone to another is to copy them to the sim card, swap the sim card over and then copy from Sim to phone. Failing that on most phones you can often 'send all' contacts via bluetooth or infrared.

I lost all my photos after swapping simm card from i776 to i880. Is there any way to retrieve them? PLEEEAAASSSEE HHHEEELLPPP!!!!!!

Did you send any of them via picture mail? If so they should be saved on your carriers server depending on how long ago they were sent. Check your online account or contact your customer care department to find out the specifics of their picture mail site or database (e.g. for Sprint or Nextel accounts, Verizon's site seems to be down). If not, the sim card probably reset itself during the swap to match the software requirements of the new phone. If these don't assist then I am sorry to inform you that they are likely lost for good. In the future be sure to save your pictures to an external memory source such as a memory card or to send them to an email address prior to completing the swap. Also, I always recommend, having a sim card for every phone and keeping them with their respective devices. A store for your carrier can swap over any contacts after changing phones for you. Most carriers also sell an accessory that will swap info from one sim card to another. Hope this is at least helpful for the future if you arent able to locate your pictures. Good Luck!

Save my address book from old sim card to new phone.

There should be a menu that when you put in a simcard, go to your address book and you can select each contact off the card, then select copy to phone. when you put back in your new sim card you have the option to transfer your contacts to the sim card, although you will then have duplicate copies of contacts and you will need to delete the contacts off the phone if you wish to keep them on the sim card only.
